Aleppo Pepper

Aleppo Pepper, from Syria, was once grown in abundance around Aleppo - which is how it got its name.  The true pepper is the Halaby pepper. Generally found in a course cut, this pepper is fruity and packs some heat, but not an overwhelming amount. Salt is used in the drying process, which contributes to its flavor profile as well.
