Kids In The Kitchen (Ages 11-14): Knife Skills - Shepard’s Pie & Over The Rainbow Fruit Tray with Cortney - $35 per person
This month’s Kids In The Kitchen will focus on knife safety and knife skills for your beginning at home chef. Of all the skills that will benefit them the most, knife skills will help them understand and respect their time in the kitchen. We will be focusing on safety – how to hold a knife, how to store a knife and how to move safely through the kitchen with a knife. Then we’ll practice our skills by cutting the veggies for our Shepard’s Pie, then learn how to cut fruit for our Over The Rainbow Fruit Tray. This is a hands-on class. We will be addressing safety and using sharp knives, so Cortney will be stressing respect and care while working in the kitchen. Respectful behavior will be required for this class and for everyone’s safety.
