The Science of Starches:
Learn how starches thicken food in this informative and fun online cooking class! In this class we’ll demonstrate and review several different types of starches and thickeners and discuss how they work. Feel free to join us while we make Salted Butterscotch Pudding and practice how to make perfect gravy! Then we will demonstrate how to make rice noodles with rice flour and tapioca starch.
Cornstarch – Salted Butterscotch Pudding (Cook along)
Flour – Roux & Gravy (Cook along if they would like) They might want to make something that can go with gravy for dinner!
Tapioca – Homemade Asian Noodles (this is a super fun demonstration!)
